Frequently asked questions

Is this tool really free?

Yes. Every tool on this site is free, with no account or sign-up required.

Are my files uploaded to your servers?

No. All processing happens in your browser, so your files never leave your device.

My PDF has no fillable fields. What now?

This tool needs a PDF with real form fields. For flat PDFs, use the Edit PDF tool to add text on top instead.

Filling a PDF form without printing it

Open a fillable PDF form, click each field, type your answer, and download the finished document. Text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns, and radio buttons all work in your browser, and your answers are embedded into the file you download. Nothing is uploaded.

Check every page before you download

Forms often hide fields on later pages: a second signature block, a terms checkbox, a date field at the end. Flip through all pages and fill each one before downloading, so you do not have to fill the same form twice.

When a form has no clickable fields

Some PDFs only look like forms. A scanned form or a flat export has no real fields inside, so there is nothing to click. That is a property of the file, not a failure of the tool. A truly fillable form shows clickable fields as soon as you open it.

More questions

What field types work?

Text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns, and radio buttons.

Are my answers saved anywhere?

No. They exist only in the PDF you download.

The form shows no fields to click. Why?

It is probably a scanned or flat PDF, not a fillable form. Only forms built with real fields can be filled this way.
