Frequently asked questions

Is this tool really free?
Yes. Every tool on this site is free, with no account or sign-up required.

Are my files uploaded to your servers?
No. Files move directly between your browser and Google or Dropbox. Nothing passes through this site's servers.

Why do the cloud buttons ask for API keys?
Google and Dropbox only let registered apps open their file pickers. Paste your own app keys once and they are stored only in your browser.

Your cloud files, without a server in between

Drive and Dropbox import and export moves files between your cloud and your browser. Pull a file from Google Drive or Dropbox, work on it with any tool on this site, then download it to this device or save it back to the same cloud. There is no server in between.

Keys first, then pickers

Enter your Google and Dropbox app keys once in Cloud settings above. The cloud buttons need those keys before they can open the pickers. Without keys, local upload and download still work, and the page tells you what is missing.

What the cloud buttons do not do

They do not store your files on this site and they do not keep a copy. Files move between your browser and your cloud. If you close the page mid-task, download the result first.
